The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for managing patient billing processes, submitting insurance claims, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for healthcare services. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical coding, and familiarity with insurance guidelines.

Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and third-party payers.
Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness; obtain missing information as needed.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to billing.
Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation.

*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
