Break Something is seeking a Freelance Designer to produce high-impact digital advertising assets for the current political cycle (through Dec 2026). If youre a responsive graphic designer with a passion for progressive Democratic politics - we want to talk to you.You will be responsible for working as an independent contractor under the guidance of our Art Director with client-facing strategists to produce graphics for email and social media advertisements, client reports, and some motion graphics (we can teach you what you dont know). Our clients are primarily political campaigns and PACs, which are budget-sensitive and require engaging and high-energy ads turned around quickly.You should have in-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud workflows, masterfulgraphic design chops, knowledge of current design trends, and be able to work quicklyunder tight deadlines. You need to be a creative professional who is scrappy someonewho can make do with whats available and be practical. Source material for projectswill range from cell phone content, stock assets, YouTube / online video sources, andclient brand assets.Hours + Availability:We expect general availability on weekdays between 9am and 8pm EST and occasional weekends as needed, allowing you to designate blocks of time that align with your schedule. Our aim is to establish a network of reliable freelancers who can contribute at various times throughout the day and week. The commitment will vary from week to week, with a guaranteed minimum of 5 hours per week.Responsibilities:Utilize Break Something workflows, review platforms, and stock media asset services to efficiently execute projects.Engage in effective communication with various strategists, multitasking on a range of projects simultaneously.Create outstanding creative work that not only meets but exceeds the portfolio standards set by Break Something.Requirements:A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a creative professional.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.A solid understanding of political social media advertising.Nice to Have:Familiarity with Slack, Asana, and AfterEffects.Working knowledge of CapCutExperience in both digital and print design.Hourly Rate: $20-30/hr DOE**Important Note:**This position is offered as a 1099 contractor role and is not eligible for benefits or inclusion in any bargaining unit.You MUST submit a link to your portfolio or relevant work samples to be considered.
