Project Manager / Estimator
We are seeking a seasoned Federal Construction Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects. The ideal candidate will supervise and mentor project staff, including superintendents, foremen, and trade workers, while collaborating with quality control staff to manage work volume.
Key Responsibilities:
• Examine RFPs and assist with bid decisions.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.
• Review plans, perform quantity take-offs, and develop execution narratives for project scopes.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes to justify pricing.
• Assemble estimates, schedules, and participate in bid reviews.
• Plan, supervise, and coordinate projects with the project team.
• Manage project financials and conduct monthly financial reviews.
• Maintain strong customer relations.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of construction experience, with a firm understanding of general construction trades, especially HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Experience developing line-item pricing for Government projects nationwide.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in e4-Clicks estimating software being a plus.
• Proven ability to anticipate and solve design or process issues.
• Experience with Federal construction contracts, including Job Order Contracts, Design-Build, and SABER contracts.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and Federal background checks.
Salary Range: $110,000 to $175,000, based on experience.
