We already have commercial success deploying cutting-edge research techniques that our world-class researchers developed over the last two years to scale hyper-personalized and continuously improving AI, and are looking to scale fast.

What you'll do

• Define & lead engineering strategy: Partner with the CTO/Founders to shape technical vision and roadmap - scaling from core AI infrastructure to full-stack SaaS delivery models
• Build a high-performance engineering org: Recruit, develop, and mentor engineering managers and senior ICs. Create frameworks for performance management, career progression, and talent density scaling from an org of 20 engineers upwards
• Drive execution and velocity: Modernize development processes: introduce CI/CD, observability, and strong execution disciplines. Own velocity metrics, sprint execution and delivery predictability
• Ensure system scalability & reliability: Lead architecture of cloud-native, distributed systems for AI-driven workflows. Implement design for uptime, graceful degradation, and performance at scale
• Foster cross-functional collaboration: Closely align with product, AI/ML, design, and customer-facing teams to turn insights into features - balancing innovation with delivery speed

Who you are

• Seasoned engineering leader: 8+ years in software development, 3-5+ years in a leadership role (Director/VP) at a SaaS or AI-enabled startup, ideally Series AB
• Systems and AI/ML savvy: Comfortable designing distributed, scalable systems; experience with ML/AI infrastructure, pipelines, or model deployment is a strong plus
• Startup-ready: Thrive in fast-paced, resource-constrained, ambiguous environments. You champion shipping with speed and quality at the same time .
• Process & execution focused: Deep understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, and operational excellence - and the ability to introduce these where they dont yet exist
• Strong leader & collaborator: Youre a people-first leader: hiring, mentoring, unblocking teams, and building culture. Excellent communication with executives and customers alike
• Bonus points Experienced in high-traffic consumer platforms: Background in e-commerce, search, or large-scale consumer-facing web applications - with an understanding of performance, availability, and user experience at scale
