As the Director of Hospitality Staffing & Sales , you'll oversee all aspects of our business, including recruitment, training, scheduling, finances, and staff engagement. This position will work across multiple Compass Group sectors and with the local union. Our team is committed to providing exceptional experiences for all. We need a self-starter who can efficiently manage tasks while maintaining a friendly, courteous attitude that aligns with our company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute recruitment plans in collaboration with managers.
• Represent employee perspectives in leadership discussions.
• Work with the Local Union representing multiple sectors within Compass Group.
• Ensure timely compliance with HR and legal standards.
• Implement relevant technology platforms.
• Manage weekly P&L reporting and financial forecasting.
• Foster employee engagement and retention strategies.
• Lead onboarding and orientation for new team members.
• Oversee ongoing training and mandatory requirements.
• Drive performance improvements through analysis and benchmarking.
• Manage timesheets and ensure a welcoming check-in experience.
• Collaborate with leadership on employee engagement plans.
• Handle employee investigations and disciplinary procedures.
• Act as a point of contact for union matters.
• Maintain accurate team member information.
• Address team member concerns and complaints.
• Contribute to sales efforts for new partners.
• Lead change and improvement initiatives.
• Attend manager meetings to support site governance.
• Provide ongoing training and development.
• Create marketing materials to promote our services.
• Partner with HR teams for joint strategies.
• Perform other assigned duties.
Skills and Experience:
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing in a union environment.
• Experience managing remote teams preferred.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Proficiency in project management.
• High computer literacy.
• Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
