Position: Devops Engineer

Location Hybrid in tech hubs— Must be near Tech Hub 2-3 days in office

Strongsville, OH Dallas, TX Birmingham, AL Pittsburgh, PA Phoenix, AZ

Shift Times/Preferred Time Zone 9-5 EST core hours, would require on call/overnight coverage as needed

Length of Assignment 4 months to Hire

OT: Could be for afterhours work, would try to flex during the week first

Travel: Quarterly as needed PA or OH

Contract to Hire W2

Reason for opening: needed to support each individual line of business to collect and communicate solution architecture specific requirements for the Infrastructure and Platform Solutions

Team Background and Preferred Candidate History: technical Background

Candidate preferred industry background: Candidate Technical and skills profile: Devops exp with Kubernetes and OpenShift

Key responsibilities:

• Experience with Kubernetes and / or OpenShift and Helm deploying application services
• Experience with automation frameworks and tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with the Jenkins platform, provisioning, configuring, and using automation like Jenkins Configuration as Code (JCasC)
• Experience programming and scripting (with languages like Golang, Python, Java/Groovy or Bash)
• Expertise with Git and platforms such as Atlassian Bitbucket / GitHub Enterprise / Azure DevOps Server
• Experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery Best Practices
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivate, willing to take initiative and able to apply new technologies when appropriate

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version):

Required:

• 4+ experience with IBM Urban Code Deploy (Udeploy)
• Installation, configuration and overall administration, software engineering and support
• Experience with IBM license key center as well as the process of managing Udeploy licenses
• Onboarding of consumers of the Udeploy application
• Coding experience (groovy, ansible, python etc..)
• Experiencing building and supporting Udeploy custom plugins (ex-integration with ServiceNow)
• Familiarity in working with and using RHEL

Nice to have:

• Ansible scripting experience
• Automating various engineering tasks, install, configure, upgrades, etc..
• GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins experience
• Knowledge of and experience with Blue/Green deployments
• Knowledge of and experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with java development, this is to support a java application that we have that wraps the UDClient

• Self-motivated, willing to take initiative and able to apply new technologies when appropriate

Education: Can be flexible on education, exp is more important

• Kubernetes Cert a plus
• Jenkins Cert a plus
