Available Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM This is a 5-day, 40-hour work week with occasional overtime as business requires.
High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year of machine operation experience. Prior book manufacturing equipment experience, such as working with print binding or finishing, is preferred.
Language - Must be able to take direction and communicate in Basic English as well as read and understand written documents. Math - Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required, and knowledge of the metric system is a plus. Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers, digital calipers, tape measure is required. Have reasonable organizational skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to earn pallet jack certification with training provided by DIY.
This position requires standing/walking for the full 8+ hour shift. The work involves extended periods of repetitive motion. Walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
