Job Description
Womens Basketball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Posting Summary Manage all operations and logistical areas of recruiting qualified student-athletes. Including but not limited to maintenance of the team recruiting database, assists with developing recruiting strategies, planning and executing the annual recruiting calendar, and coordinating all visits. Oversee the recruitment process and work with other internal units (e.g. Compliance, Travel, Business & Finance, etc.) to manage all recruiting operations for the Women's Basketball program.Assist with on-court coaching and player development for the basketball program. Work closely with the head coach and staff, in the overall direction of a successful Division I basketball program. Commitment to student-athlete's academic, personal, and athletic growth and development. Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator will be asked to bring a relentless work ethic and attention to detail to the position while being an accessible and reliable member in the Vermont Women's Basketball program. Attend CPR and other safety classes arranged by Athletics and receive certification. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Adhere to all NCAA, America East and the University of Vermont rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Required Qualifications - Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 1-3 years of successful collegiate experience, preferably at the Division I level
- Able to form and maintain relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds
- Able to communicate effectively on different platforms (zoom, phone, public speaking)
- A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, change direction quickly and prioritize tasks based on the needs of the program
- Be a self-starter and take initiative
- A record of integrity and leadership
- A demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice and diversity
- A commitment to the academic success and graduation of student-athletes
- Candidates must be able to travel extensively
- Experience with or ability to learn MAC Interface, Synergy software, ARMS, JustPlay, Microsoft Office Suites and digital design
Desirable Qualifications Anticipated Pay Range $60,000 - $65,000
