Weekend Wine/Retail Host
Friday - Sunday 3pm - 6 pm

$50/hour

The focus of the position is to drive weekend sales. The suitable candidate will be experienced with proven sales abilities, diligent, self-motivated, and committed to offering a seamless guest experience. Building a rapport with clients to promote the sale of wine and non-wine items, while developing brand loyalty, is essential. The individual filling this role will also help with administrative tasks and manage Tasting Room operations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Ensure all guests are greeted promptly and provide an elevated experience to build brand loyalty
•  Communicate in a knowledgeable, professional and gracious manner to all guests
•  Serve samples of wine to guests in both individual and group settings
•  Share appropriate information and educate guests about our wines and brand history
•  Promote the sale of wine products in the Tasting Room and pursue sales opportunities
•  Perform opening and closing procedures as outlined by management
•  Maintain Tasting Room appearance
•  Wash and polish Tasting Room glassware
•  Oversea visual merchandising, retail items, stock levels
•  Manage Enomatic System
•  Order processing on our POS System
•  Manage cold storage inventory with staff
•  Work outreach to local concierges. Leverage existing contacts.
•  Demonstrate personal accountability
•  Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Must be at least 21 years of age
•  Three years of experience in a wine Tasting Room
•  First-hand knowledge, appreciation and passion for wine and wine-related topics
•  Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests and team members
•  Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and POS systems
•  Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
•  Maintain a professional appearance
•  Demonstrate a positive disposition
•  Ability to stand and speak for extended periods of time
•  Capable of lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis
•  Foreign Language a plus
