Overview

The purpose of this position is to support a crew that utilizes combination jet / vacuum trucks on a daily basis to perform necessary routine and restorative maintenance to underground stormwater facilities. This position primarily works underground in confined spaces. Experience working with Vactor style combination jet / vacuum trucks and CCTV pipe inspection equipment is preferred, but not required. 

The position is full time, with work weeks varying from 40-45 hrs depending on workload. Work hours will vary but are typically limited to weekdays. Appropriate training for confined space entry will be provided if you are not already certified. 

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks to include but not limited to sediment and debris removal, sand filter restoration, filter cartridge removal and installation, and assisting with CCTV inspection equipment. 
• Assist jet / vac operators with loading water used for cleaning facilities and dumping vac trucks of debris collected from cleaning. 
• Work closely with crew members to ensure that projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. 
• Ensure proper utilization of all PPE at all times (Atmospheric Meters, Tripods, Fall Protection Harnesses, etc.).

Requirements

• Consistently show up on time every work day. 
• Be comfortable working in confined underground spaces (No claustrophobia or fear of heights).
• Be comfortable working in wet environments. Work related apparel (steel toe muck boots, waders, tyvek suits) is provided. 
• Work hard - this is manual labor, so you need to be in good physical condition.
• Currently possess or be able to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate. 
• Ability to operate company vehicles (non CDL). Driving record must be acceptable to our insurance carrier.
• Positive attitude and ability to effectively communicate with supervisors/crew members.
• Reliable transportation required. This position reports to our shop located in Parkton, MD.
