Description : This position provides senior-level DevOps platform management and support for the smooth and efficient delivery of highly complex, multi-platform mainframe and web-based business applications and systems. DevOps platforms are expected to be available 24x7x365 and need to function reliably and securely.Support of the DevOps platform includes providing system administration, consulting, technical support and senior-level application delivery coordination between the application development teams and the Division of Enterprise Technology at the Department of Administration. Supported technologies and tools include but are not limited to IBM WebSphere Application Server-Liberty, TomCat, GitHub, SonarQube, Git,Maven, Dynatrace, Jira,Okta, Python, Ansible, and other emerging tools. This position performs work related to all phases of the systems development life cycle for the DevOps platform and application development toolchain, which includes analyzing and documenting current business processes, planning, requirements elicitation, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. This position is expected to provide a high degree of support for the delivery of high-quality applications and associated end-products through cost-effective and efficient management of the application development toolchain integrations. This position coordinates and leads technical efforts through the process for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting and modifying or enhancing the application toolchain, middleware, and automation of business processes.This position initiates and effectively communicates with department development and infrastructure staff and other stakeholders; provides trainingfor technical staff regardingthe technology toolchain; and consults with technical staff to provide specialized guidance for the use, input, and output of technology systems. It acts as a liaison to provide data to technical staff and DET when problems arise with applications and as necessary will develop business user instructions. This position provides training for user staff for technology systems operations. This position will perform discovery and research methods for sustainability to aid in the adoption of DevOps throughout ETF. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must Haves: - Advanced Skill and knowledge of LinuxOperating System administration, monitoring, backup and recovery.3-5 years - Advanced skill and knowledge of Linux server system security concepts and IT security best practices and trends. 3-5 years - Advanced skill using scripting languages such as Unix shell, Python, Ansible, and Perl. 3-5 years. - Advanced skill usingsource code repositories such as GitHub, GitLab, or Git.3-5 years. - Advanced ability to work on a team, create favorable experiences, and share information and expertise. - Advanced ability and willingness to learn about new technologies including the various resources for researching new and emerging technologies and how to utilize them to automate business systems and processes. - Advanced ability to learn and work independently. - Intermediate skills and knowledge supporting and working with DevOps tools such as Jira, SonarQube, or Dynatrace.1-3 years - Intermediate skill and knowledge of analyzing, troubleshooting, and debugging issues related to Application environments, hardware, networking, and system software. 1-3 years - Intermediate skills in Call502-379-4456 Ext 100for more details.
