Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a travel job in Alturas, California.

Job Description & Requirements

• Oversee procurement, storage, distribution, and administration of medications
• Ensure compliance with DEA, state board, and federal laws
• Monitor controlled substance handling and medication safety protocols
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, logs, and billing systems
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Train and mentor interns, ensuring appropriate supervision ratios
• Manage scheduling, workflow, and performance evaluation
• Engage with patients on medication counseling, side effects, dosage, and interactions
• Respond to customer needs, resolve issues, and support integration of retail programs
• Build strong relationships with physicians and nursing staff
• Compound and dispense prescriptions accurately
• Support quality assurance, waste disposal protocols, and drug recalls
• Maintain pharmacy policies and adjust to changes in regulations or workflows
• Assist with insurance claims, third-party billing issues, and loss prevention
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarity with EMRs and pharmacy automation systems
• May require experience with inventory systems or IV compounding software
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management ability
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced or evolving environment
• Comfortable with occasional technician-related tasks if needed

Inpatient experience within the last 3 years\n\nMinimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital management preferred\n\nCertified Immunizer
