Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a WI or compact RN license and a minimum of 5 years of ER experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Primary responsibilities are in ER with occasional coverage as house supervisor
- 12-hour night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, working three shifts per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- Floating within the hospital is required, including house supervisor duties
- Bedside shift reporting, utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are mandatory
- Training provided for house supervisor duties for weekend coverage
- Holiday RTO is not accepted, with expectation to work every other holiday
- Travelers must not live within a 60-mile radius of the facility
- Modules will be completed during orientation and tracked via Kronos
- COVID vaccine is not required for this position
- Returning travelers may not work more than one year without a one-year break
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of emergency department RN experience required
- AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
- NIH Stroke Scale and TNCC certifications preferred
- Charge nurse or house supervisor experience preferred
- Barcode scanning compliance of at least 95% required for contract extension
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Two references required, one of which must be from a supervisor
