Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a WI or compact RN license and a minimum of 5 years of ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Primary responsibilities are in ER with occasional coverage as house supervisor
• 12-hour night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, working three shifts per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Floating within the hospital is required, including house supervisor duties
• Bedside shift reporting, utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are mandatory
• Training provided for house supervisor duties for weekend coverage
• Holiday RTO is not accepted, with expectation to work every other holiday
• Travelers must not live within a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Modules will be completed during orientation and tracked via Kronos
• COVID vaccine is not required for this position
• Returning travelers may not work more than one year without a one-year break

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 5 years of emergency department RN experience required
• AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• NIH Stroke Scale and TNCC certifications preferred
• Charge nurse or house supervisor experience preferred
• Barcode scanning compliance of at least 95% required for contract extension
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Two references required, one of which must be from a supervisor
