*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and possess excellent research and writing skills. This role involves assisting attorneys with case preparation, conducting legal research, and managing case files to ensure a smooth workflow within the law office.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist attorneys in the preparation of personal injury cases, including gathering evidence and documentation.
* Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
* Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
* Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines to ensure timely filings.
* Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
* Prepare trial materials and assist attorneys during litigation proceedings.
* Stay updated on changes in personal injury law and relevant regulations.
* Collaborate with other legal professionals on various matters including estate planning, immigration law, family law, landlord-tenant law, environmental law, securities law, workers' compensation law, patent law, tribal law & regulations.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law office environment.
* Strong knowledge of personal injury law and litigation processes.
* Proficient in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
* Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
* Familiarity with various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, patent law, and tribal regulations is highly desirable.
