At The Faison Center, you’ll be part of a nationally recognized leader in autism services, creating life-changing opportunities for children and families every day.
The Faison Center’s Early Education Center provides early intervention for toddlers and children (16 months–6 years) of all abilities, focusing on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), developmental milestones, and play-based learning. Using a verbal behavior developmental model, our team of licensed behavior analysts, teachers, and teaching assistants deliver individualized instruction, motor planning, social skills training, and family-centered support.
Location: Richmond, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Implement one-on-one and small group instruction across classroom, recreational, and community settings.
• Support communication, social, and developmental skill-building through ABA and play-based methods.
• Assist with activities of daily living (including hygiene and toileting).
• Collect data to track student progress and collaborate with the educational team.
• Help students participate in physical education and off-campus activities.
• Provide support for individuals who may display challenging behaviors.

Requirements:Qualifications
• BS/BA degree or related experience preferred.
• Interest in education, behavioral health, or working with children with developmental challenges.
• Training provided—no prior ABA experience required.
