Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Telemetry Unit

Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Telemetry unit at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This opening is for a full-time days shift. 0645-1915.

Baptist Beaches provides beaches residents with easy access to comprehensive, high-tech medical and surgical care close to home. We offer the only hospital-based, 24-hour emergency service at the beach.

As a Registered Nurse on the Surg Tele unit, you will be responsible for:

• Providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
• Coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

This RN position will be located at Baptist Beaches.

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

• Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
• Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
