**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Strategic Development:** Collaborate with account managers and the Senior PR Director to create and implement tailored public relations strategies that align with client goals.
- **Media Outreach:** Focus on strategic pitching and story placement in key Florida and national markets, building and nurturing strong media relationships.
- **Counsel and Messaging:** Provide expert public relations counsel to clients and team members, developing key messaging tailored to specific PR strategies.
- **Content Creation:** Research, write, and edit editorial projects, including news releases, media advisories, articles, and guest opinions, ensuring high standards of grammar, accuracy, and style.
- **Story Ideas:** Generate and identify compelling story ideas and pitches in collaboration with the public relations team.
- **Media Engagement:** Pitch stories to news media, draft talking points, and coordinate interviews, including video pitches when necessary.
- **Awards Submissions:** Draft and submit award nominations for clients to showcase their achievements.
- **Crisis Communications:** Provide crisis communications support and counsel as needed, ensuring clients are prepared for any situation.
- **Media Training:** Conduct media training sessions for clients to enhance their engagement skills.
- **Event Coordination:** Organize PR-related events such as media tours, press conferences, and grand openings.
- **Time Management:** Track and log time spent on various projects and related activities for efficient project management.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably within an agency setting.
- Strong media relationships throughout Florida and a willingness to expand nationally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- APR accreditation is preferred but not required.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
