We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pediatric Dental Financial/Insurance Coordinator to manage financial transactions, insurance claims, and patient billing. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless experience for our patients and their families while maintaining the financial health of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Insurance Processing: Verify patient insurance coverage, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement.

  • Patient Billing: Prepare and send accurate billing statements, explain payment options, and address patient inquiries regarding costs and insurance.

  • Financial Coordination: Work with families to create affordable payment plans, process payments, and manage accounts receivable.

  • Treatment Plan Support: Collaborate with clinical staff to provide cost estimates for treatments and communicate financial responsibilities to parents/guardians.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential financial and insurance records in compliance with HIPAA and practice policies.

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients and families, addressing financial concerns with empathy and professionalism.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with front office and clinical teams to streamline financial processes and enhance patient experiences.

  • Reporting: Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting or forecasting as needed.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental or medical insurance coordination, billing, or financial administration (pediatric dental experience preferred).

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, including PPO and Denti-Cal.

    • Proficiency with dental practice management software Dentrix Ascend and Microsoft Office Suite including Teams.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on working with families and children.

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
