We are seeking an NP Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses in people receiving dialysis
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments, using approved algorithms as well as clinical judgement.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities after discussion with nephrologists
• Communicate with collaborating nephrologist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields, preferably in dialysis
• Ability to build rapport with patients is very important in this chronically ill population
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative in team care with nursing, nutritionists and social workers, as well as primary nephrologists.
