Night Dispatcher – Port Drayage (7 PM – 5 AM)
Location: Carson, CA | On-site

A growing logistics company in Carson, CA is looking for an experienced Night Dispatcher with a deep understanding of Port Drayage operations at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. What You’ll Do
- Execute the dispatch plan developed by the load planner
- Assign and dispatch drivers to maximize equipment and time utilization
- Monitor GPS and TMS in real-time to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Proactively resolve issues with customers, terminals, steamship lines, or drivers
- Minimize demurrage and per diem charges through effective planning
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with drivers
- Collaborate with the customer service team for real-time updates
- Manage daily communications through phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
- Provide consistent milestone reporting through the TMS
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of Port Drayage dispatching experience (minimum)
- Proven track record dispatching 20+ drivers per shift
- Deep knowledge of LA & Long Beach port terminal operations
- Comfortable with Transportation Management Systems and GPS monitoring tools
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Schedule & Compensation
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Job Type: Full-time, On-site
- Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 annually
