Civica Law has an immediate opening for a City Prosecutor with 1-4 years criminal prosecution or defense experience and a valid CA Bar license. HYBRID Position!!!! The attorney in this role will prosecute misdemeanor code violations for clients throughout the state and will handle all aspects of criminal prosecutions, including evaluating law enforcement reports for filing determinations; preparing criminal complaints; arguing pre-trial motions; and handling arraignments, pre-trials, jury trials, sentencing, and post-conviction hearings. Attorney will travel to various courts in the Inland Empire to represent our clients. A valid drivers license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute misdemeanor code violations for clients throughout the state and handle all aspects of criminal prosecutions.
• Evaluate law enforcement reports for filing determinations; prepare criminal complaints.
• Argue pre-trial motions; handle arraignments, pre-trials, jury trials, sentencing, and post-conviction hearings.
• Travel to various courts in the Inland Empire to represent clients.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of criminal prosecution or defense experience.
• Valid California Bar license.
• Hybrid work environment; a valid drivers license is preferred.
• Adaptable with solid organizational, writing, and analytical skills; exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive, versatile, and able to think and operate independently to solve issues.
• Hard-working, positive, service-oriented character with an interest in local government and public safety.
