Multi-unit and luxury hotel experienced Director of Food & Beverage – Hawaii Islands

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Food & Beverage to lead and manage the F&B operations across premier luxury hotel properties in Hawaii. This multi-unit leadership role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in super luxury Food & Beverage, a proven ability to lead large teams, and a strategic vision to elevate culinary and service standards across all outlets. We need a “Foodie” who understands the culture in Hawaii. Someone who can relate to the people and make things go.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven leader who thrives in a high-volume, luxury environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences rooted in the unique culture and hospitality of Hawaii. Candidate must be a hands-on creator of new concepts who can work with the culture of the team to get things done. A foodie with good administrative skills would be part of the job description. You are also looking for someone who has worked not only with big brands, but also independent hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership across all F&B outlets, in-room dining, banquets, and catering at both properties.
  • Oversee and mentor a diverse team of managers, chefs, and service professionals to ensure seamless service, innovation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with Executive Chefs and culinary teams to develop distinctive, seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and cultural influences.
  • Drive financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities across outlets.
  • Implement and uphold brand standards and luxury service expectations in alignment with the properties' identity and guest demographic.
  • Lead F&B initiatives related to guest satisfaction, employee engagement, sustainability, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as local and federal licensing requirements.
  • Foster cross-property synergy to maintain consistency while allowing for property-specific personalization and flair.
  • Analyze guest feedback and market trends to continuously enhance offerings and anticipate future demands.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage within luxury hotels or resorts, including at least 5 years in a multi-outlet or multi-property leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing complex F&B operations including fine dining, casual dining, banquets, and bar/lounge services.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget planning, P&L oversight, and labor management.
  • Deep understanding of luxury service standards and ability to inspire teams to exceed guest expectations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Culinary passion and operational expertise with a deep appreciation for Hawaiian culture and local sourcing.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
