NOTE: This role is on-site 5 days a week in Arlington, Virginia. We are unable to sponsor, but can work with existing H1 (with certain conditions) & i140 approved. Sorry, no C2C.

Our client, a leading company in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy AI-driven solutions. This role will focus on machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and optimization algorithms while building scalable model pipelines in Databricks and PySpark.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define project requirements with business stakeholders.
• Build and optimize model serving pipelines for scalability and performance.
• Improve model accuracy through feature engineering and tuning.
• Integrate machine learning models into production environments.
• Evaluate and implement pretrained models and vendor solutions.
• Develop project plans, including solution architecture and resourcing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to translate business needs into ML solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, software engineering, or data science.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and secure data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala , and machine learning frameworks.
• Strong expertise in feature engineering, model optimization, and tuning.

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Databricks, CI/CD, data lakes, Unity Catalog, and Git .
• Background in streaming data and cloud-based ML solutions.
