We are seeking a proactive and skilled Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to become the backbone of our successful Loan Officers' business. You will be instrumental in preparing loan files, ensuring compliance, managing communication with clients and partners, and facilitating smooth, timely closings. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will manage the administrative and pre-processing functions, allowing the Loan Officer to focus on sales. Your responsibilities include:

  • Package Preparation: Collect all necessary documentation and information from customers to build a complete and organized loan package.
  • Pre-Qualification: Utilize Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) to pre-qualify customers quickly and accurately.
  • Quality Control: Review loan files for initial completeness and accuracy, proactively following up on missing documents and addressing any initial conditions.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate critical steps such as opening escrow accounts, ordering inspections and appraisals, and determining necessary insurance coverage.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Serve as a primary point of contact for general inquiries, providing prompt and clear answers regarding mortgage policies and procedures.
  • Stay current on market trends, loan products, and industry regulations.

What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related professional experience, with a minimum of 1 year in mortgage lending or related sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in retail loan origination support.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Encompass loan origination software.
  • Strong experience managing relationships with internal and external partners (Realtors, Title, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of mortgage lending processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with various loan programs, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA.
  • A strong understanding of mortgage terminology (escrow, taxes, insurance, closing documents).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a focus on producing accurate work.

Candidates will have the option of working full-time in the office or adhering to a hybrid model as agreed upon with management.
