Junior Estimator - Main Contractor
Location: Central Belt, Scotland
Salary: Up to £40k plus package
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role


As Junior Estimator, you will support the estimating team in pricing a variety of construction projects, gaining exposure to both traditional tenders and design & build opportunities. This is a fantastic chance to learn from an experienced, supportive team while working on exciting, diverse projects.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions(li)>
• Carrying out quantity take-offs and measurement(li)>
• Gathering and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations(li)>
• Supporting senior estimators with cost planning and budget preparation(li)>
• Maintaining accurate records and databases for ongoing and upcoming tenders(li)>
• Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings as required(li)>

About You


We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• A relevant construction or quantity surveying qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)(li)>
• A genuine interest in estimating and pre-construction(li)>
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail(li)>
• Good communication and IT skills (including Excel and estimating software)(li)>
• A proactive, positive attitude and a desire to progress(li)>
