BrainWorks is working with a $2B+ Distributor/manufacturer of heavy-duty industrial equipment. This newly created position will be responsible for developing the inventory control strategy for existing operations and future green field distribution centers that support 23+ locations in GA. Our client has experienced double-digit annual growth (60% over the last 5+ yrs) and want to further optimize their operations and customer experience to continue to accelerate profitability and market share. The
Inventory Control Director, will provide leadership and strategic direction for parts inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations to ensure product availability and business efficiency across existing operations and future greenfield sites. They will report directly to the the VP of Service & Parts. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and metrics to optimize inventory levels across 40K+ skus, control procedures and systems to optimize efficiency and manage associated costs.
- Assess and implement automation inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting.
- Collaborate and partner with purchasing, production, logistics, and sales teams to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
- Lead and develop an Inventory Control Manager with a team of 8 Inventory Control Analysts.
- Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships.
- Assess greenfield site to create state of the art automation facility.
