Drywall Repair Technician Opportunity

At The Patch Boys of Colorado Springs, we take pride in our commitment to delivering high-quality drywall repair services to our residential clients. We are seeking a skilled Drywall Repair Technician to join our team as a 1099 contractor. As a Drywall Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and matching drywall textures on a variety of residential projects. We value attention to detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Repair damaged drywall by replacing, taping, mudding, and sanding with precision and accuracy
• Must be able to match existing drywall textures (e.g. orange peel, knockdown, smooth) for a seamless finish that blends perfectly with the surrounding area
• Hang drywall and insulation with care and precision
• Perform demolition of drywall as needed, while minimizing the impact on the surrounding area
• Prepare and protect work areas, including furniture and floors, and leave the area spotless upon completion of the project
• Communicate with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the completed work, and handle any questions or concerns professionally and courteously
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, taking care to minimize disruption to the customer's daily life

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in drywall repair and texture matching, with a portfolio of completed projects showcasing your skills
• Experience in hanging drywall and insulation, as well as demolition of drywall, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
• Own tools and transportation that can haul drywall, materials, track, etc.
• Making sure you have everything needed to complete the job to the highest standards
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and find solutions to challenges that arise on the job
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and ensure their satisfaction with the completed work

This is a 1099 contractor position with a trial project at $27.50 an hour to assess your skills and texture matching abilities. After successfully completing 2 or 3 projects, we will consider moving to a piece work arrangement that reflects the quality of your work.
