Suvi, an Akima company, is seeking a Digital Print Specialist to work in Washington, DC. The role involves receiving and processing graphic design layout projects, ranging from simple to complex four-color publications. The specialist will provide prompt, economical, and accurate graphics and exhibit services, staying current with industry standards in design, layout, printing, and binding techniques. Responsibilities Assist with duplication of books, booklets, brochures, trifolds, cards, posters, and reports, ensuring conformity to printing standards. Pre-flight files for high-speed copiers. Convert application files to PDFs and duplicate pages using Xerox and other printing equipment. Knowledge of booklet cutting and binding layouts. Operate print shop equipment, including large format printers and scanners. Print posters, retirement boards, and photos. Utilize prepress and design software such as Kodak Smartboard, Fiery, MS Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, and PageMaker. Operate coil binding equipment. Perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications Active Top Secret security clearance. At least 1 year of experience in graphic duplication, file pre-flight, and high-speed copier operation. Proficiency in converting files to PDFs and operating Xerox equipment. Knowledge of binding layouts and print shop equipment, including large format printers. Understanding of paper types and selection for printing projects.
