Job Summary:
We’re seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves operating a box truck to deliver and pick up home medical equipment while ensuring timely, professional, and customer-focused service. The position requires hands-on equipment setup, light maintenance, and clear communication with patients and team members. This is a fast-paced, independent role that combines logistics, customer service, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliveries & Equipment Setup

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver medical equipment to patients’ homes and care facilities.

  • Set up and test equipment to ensure proper operation and patient safety.

  • Provide basic training and demonstrations for patients and caregivers on equipment use and maintenance.

  • Pick up, clean, and return used or serviced equipment as scheduled.

  • Complete delivery documentation accurately using handheld scanning devices or company software.

Warehouse & Inventory Support

  • Clean, inspect, and test equipment prior to delivery.

  • Label, organize, and maintain equipment and supply inventory.

  • Assist with restocking, warehouse cleaning, and inventory management.

  • Help track oxygen refills and other regulated materials.

Vehicle Operation & Safety

  • Operate company box trucks safely and in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep vehicles clean and organized.

  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures when loading and unloading equipment.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and infection control practices.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Deliver exceptional service and represent the company professionally at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and office staff regarding deliveries and service needs.

  • Report any safety, equipment, or patient issues to management promptly.

  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed for after-hours deliveries.

Schedule & Availability

  • A set schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

  • Weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.

  • Overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and operate a box truck safely.

  • Prior experience in delivery driving, medical equipment handling, or property maintenance preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld scanning devices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting.

  • Experience handling or maintaining home medical or durable equipment.

  • Customer service or patient interaction experience.
