JOB DESCRIPTION:

An engineering client is hiring a Construction Laborer who is responsible for assisting with ceiling grid and tile installation on commercial and government job sites. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in the field and the opportunity to grow with a skilled team of professionals. You will contribute to a variety of tasks essential to successful project completion while learning the trade in a supportive environment. In this role, you will work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient progress while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities will include:

• Gather, carry, and organize necessary materials.
• Clean work areas and maintain equipment.
• Measure and cut materials to specifications.
• Position equipment and tools as needed for installation.
• Operate scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts.
• Use powder actuated tools and lasers.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Help maintain construction schedules and phased timelines.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Prior construction experience or interested in working in construction.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Transportation to get to and from job locations.

PLUSSES:

• Experience with drywall or commercial construction projects.

The pay for this position is between $15 - $21 per hour depending on experience and other factors. The shift is from 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday and pays overtime (time and a half) for all hours worked over 40 for the week.
