About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Utility Superintendent to oversee multiple underground utility projects from start to finish. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in water, sewer, and storm drain installation, as well as proven experience managing field crews, subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics across several active jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations across multiple concurrent utility projects
- Lead crews installing water, sewer, storm drain , and related underground infrastructure
- Oversee dewatering operations , ensuring proper design, implementation, and compliance
- Manage project schedules, productivity, equipment utilization, and material deliveries
- Enforce safety standards and conduct regular jobsite inspections
- Collaborate closely with project managers, inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors
- Review plans/specifications and ensure work meets design, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Track progress, document daily activities, and help forecast staffing and equipment needs
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience supervising civil/utility construction field operations
- Strong background in water, sewer, storm drain , and deep utility installation
- Demonstrated ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on knowledge of dewatering systems and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret plans, profiles, and construction documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites
