Construction Laborer/Lull Operator Needed!

Join a long-term construction project in Apex, NC. This role involves supporting general construction requirements, including temporary structures, carpentry, cleaning, and miscellaneous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor at construction project job sites.
• Review job site needs with leadership to comprehend scopes of work per plans and specifications.
• Assist with job site clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platform building, and construction waste management.
• Inventory supplies and communicate needs for restocking.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and standards.
• Understand work instructions and safety protocols, and inspect tools for safe use.
• Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and adhere to safety expectations.
• Perform selected demolition and assist subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness, and participate in end-of-day clean-up.
• Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed.
• Manage dumpster schedules and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators.
• Ensure the security of equipment and work areas.
• Identify and escalate issues to supervisors for resolution.
• Track production of completed tasks.
• Assist other craft workers as directed.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and team members.

Essential Skills

• Basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to operate a Lull on a construction site.
• 6+ months of construction experience.
• Proficiency in using power tools, tape measures, and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in concrete work.
• Ability to read and understand project signage and safety instructions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Apex, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
