Overview Community Service Officer (3 Positions) (Part Time) – Location: Groton Part-Time, up to 19 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starting rates and ranges are listed below and are effective per current and future dates. Responsibilities Perform assigned duties in the areas of parking enforcement, traffic control, and community relations. Apply reasoning to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Qualifications High school education required; college coursework in criminal justice or law enforcement preferred. Strong customer service skills; ability to enforce instructions with firmness and effectiveness. Remain calm in stressful emergency situations; well organized, attentive to detail, and able to prioritize effectively. Typically proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, internet preferred). Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Starting Salary and Range Current: STARTING RATE $17.50/hour; Current Position Range: $17.50 – $18.50/hour Effective 7/1/25: STARTING RATE $18.00/hour; Effective 7/1/25 Position Range: $18.00 – $19.00/hour Selection Procedure Review of applications/resumes with best qualified candidates eligible for oral examination(s).
