Commercial Financial Services Cybersecurity Business Development Director

Responsibilities
- Apply business development and sales expertise and knowledge of cybersecurity to sell, design, and support the implementation of security solutions for leading financial services institutions.
- Own and drive the sales process throughout the sales lifecycle, engaging key stakeholders from capability and market teams to prosecute and acquire new logos.
- Identify, establish, and maintain client relationships while closing new sales opportunities.
- Work with the team to develop, manage, and maintain the markets pipeline.
- Collaborate across matrixed teams to provide creative solutions that solve core client needs.
- Support marketing, intellectual capital development, operations, events, and logistics.
- Contribute to the account management process and work on complex tasks across accounts, products, and services.
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in technical professional service and product sales with an emphasis on cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technology
- 5+ years of experience with direct sales in the financial services industry
- 5+ years of experience with strategic business development activities
- Experience presenting and communicating to teams, executives, and clients, including briefings, sales calls, and team-based discussions
- Ability to own and drive the sales process from lead generation through deal closure and provide longer-term account management to strategic client accounts
- Ability to thrive in a team-based and fast-paced environment and coordinate with key stakeholders across technical capabilities and market and industry teams
- Ability to lead fast-paced delivery in challenging commercial environments, foster positive client relationships, identify new business opportunities with existing clients, and develop new intellectual capital
- Ability to synthesize technical content and distill into key messages for senior business leaders
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed
- Bachelors degree
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with strategy design, capability building, and organizational design and change
- Experience working in financial services
- Experience briefing senior executives and coaching and mentoring junior staff
- Experience with information security regulations or regulatory bodies
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of various risk management and security frameworks
- Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, planning, organizational, and client facilitation skills
- Interpersonal skills including comprehension, conflict resolution, teamwork, and relationship-building
- Strong client-ready verbal and written communication skills
- Masters degree
Compensation
Salary range: $162,800.00/yr - $303,000.00/yr (annualized USD).
Salary is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
