A well-capitalized, privately held community bank in the greater Wichita area is seeking a Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to lead its lending operations and drive continued portfolio growth. The organization has a strong foundation in commercial real estate (CRE) lending and maintains a healthy, diversified loan portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the bank’s lending operations, aligning portfolio growth with business goals.
• Oversee loan performance and credit quality, ensuring regulatory compliance and sound risk management.
• Develop and manage a personal loan portfolio while supporting team-driven business development.
• Lead and mentor the lending team to foster collaboration, performance, and growth.
• Supervise underwriting and approve major credit requests in adherence to policies and regulations.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver responsive, tailored lending solutions.
• Monitor market trends to inform strategy and support new product development.
• Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership and the board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in senior lending roles (e.g., CLO, Senior Lender, Market President).
• Proven leadership in managing and growing commercial loan portfolios.
• Strong credit and risk management expertise; regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Effective strategist with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in financial analysis and market trend evaluation.

Location & Culture
