Summary
We are currently seeking a Chemical Plant Operator to support daily operations at our Quakertown, PA facility. The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience in a chemical plant or industrial manufacturing environment. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring process equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
● Operate and monitor chemical process equipment including reactors, pumps, valves, and instrumentation systems
● Perform regular process checks and log operational data to ensure production targets and quality standards are met
● Follow strict safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and environmental regulations
● Troubleshoot and respond to operational issues to minimize downtime
● Assist with routine maintenance and collaborate with maintenance teams on equipment repairs
● Handle raw materials and finished products in compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines
● Participate in shift handovers and provide clear, concise communication to peers and supervisors
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in Process Technology or related field is a plus
● Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing, refinery, or industrial plant environment
● Familiarity with distributed control systems (DCS) and plant automation systems
● Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of chemical processes
● Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities
● Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
● Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including wearing PPE and working in varying conditions
