Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Maryland. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with flexibility and occasional travel for board meetings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
• Provide strategic financial leadership to support organizational goals.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and board members on financial planning and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to nonprofit financial regulations and best practices.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to maintain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• CPA required; MBA highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of nonprofit financial leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex budgets and multi-location operations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional leadership.

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, with occasional travel required for board meetings.

Additional Details

• Max Pay: $200,000.
• This is a supervisory position.
