Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Operations, Revenue Cycle, Budget and Reimbursement, Information Technology, Utilization Review, Medical Records, Coding, Patient Access, Internal Audit, Managed Care Contracting. Responsible for collaboration with the Executive Team for the overall financial performance of the Health System.
Education
- Bachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting. CPA and/or Masters required
Experience
- 10 years in various aspects of Finance preferably with prior CFO experience with a hospital, health system, payer, or medical group.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of accounting, finance/operations, revenue cycle and managed care contracting
- Knowledge of government regulations in healthcare to include and not limited to healthcare financing and HSCRC relationship(s)

Licensures, Certifications

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of Finance for the Health System.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Coordinates the Annual Operating and Capital Budget for the Health System, prepares financial forecasts, and conducts cash flow & budget variance analysis to support short-term and long-term operational objectives for the system.
- Financial Reporting: Oversees the monthly and annual preparation of the System financials to include collaboration with external audit group
- Revenue Cycle Management: Oversees all aspects of the Revenue Cycle for the Health System, including optimizing billing & claims platforms, ensuring correct/ & optimized coding, and integrating key documentation and systems to increase cash flow.
- Strategic Planning: Serving as a strategic financial partner to the executive team, providing analytical support and decision-making tools to drive operational performance and supporting strategic initiatives and growth.
- Stakeholder Communication: Open, transparent, & strategic communication of financial performance with Internal stakeholders (CEO, Board of Directors, executive team, physician leaders, employees, & management team) and External stakeholders (auditors, regulators/policymakers, vendors/suppliers, payers, community, & patient/families).
- Cost Management and Operational Efficiency: Implementing cost control measures, optimizing resource allocation, identifying areas for savings, and monitoring performance to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as fraud, regulatory non-compliance, and economic volatility. Ensure that the organization adheres to complex healthcare regulations to avoid financial penalties and ensure patient safety.
- Serves as lead for coordinating committees and agendas for the Audit/Compliance, Finance Operations and Investment Committees
- Oversees the management of Information Technology to include Network Operations and the EPIC Team for the Health System
- Oversees all aspects of Patient Access, Health Information Management and Hospital/Physician Coding
- Manages the Internal Audit function for the System
- Oversees the relationships with all regulatory organizations to include and not limited to the HSCRC, Rating Agencies and Third-Party payors
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to ten (10) pounds maximum and occasionally lifts or carry small item (files, manual, binder).
- Ability concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and attend employee or business functions in evenings or early mornings, outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range
$325,000.00 $650,000.00
Final salary offer will be based on the candidates qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
