Business Intelligence Analyst (BI Analyst)
Reports to: Vice President of Data & Information Systems
Location: Hybrid
Type: Full-Time or Contract Work

Overview

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst develops dashboards and reporting solutions that help BridgePrep teams make smarter, faster decisions. This role translates business needs into data models, visualizations, and metrics, ensuring stakeholders have reliable tools for day-to-day operations and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards in Power BI, Excel, and Shiny apps.
• Translate organizational goals into metrics and KPIs with clear data definitions.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

Data Integration & Validation

• Write SQL queries to extract and transform data.
• Collaborate with the Data Team to ensure clean, accurate, and consistent data sources.
• Support data governance by documenting definitions, standards, and calculations.

User Engagement & Support

• Provide training, office hours, and documentation to help teams use BI tools effectively.
• Serve as a go-to resource for interpreting dashboards and troubleshooting issues.
• Monitor usage and proactively improve tool functionality.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of BI or data analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SQL (R/Python a plus).
• Ability to translate technical data into business insights.
• Strong Problem-Solving and Communication Skills
• Education sector experience preferred
• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is not mandatory, but preferred
