Associate Software Engineer (Guidewire BillingCenter Developer)

6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Jacksonville, FL

Brooksource is looking to hire recent college graduates to join one of our Fortune 1000 clients in Jacksonville, FL! This team will be part of a collaborative group of developers supporting enterprise insurance platforms and mission-critical applications as part of Brooksources Elevate Program.

Elevate is Brooksources national associate-level consulting program that helps clients rejuvenate their workforce with a new wave of talent. Launched in 2000, we provide structured technical training and hands-on project experience to ensure a seamless transition into a professional environment. Associates build foundational engineering skills while developing into future technology leaders.

In this role, you will work alongside senior developers, architects, and QA teams to help enhance and maintain the Guidewire BillingCenter platform. This role provides exposure to enterprise-grade applications, modern development practices, and real-world production systems. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Hands-on experience, coursework, or academic projects using:
• Java and/or Spring Framework
• JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• REST APIs and integration concepts
• Basic understanding of:
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with:
• SQL and relational database concepts
• Unit testing and basic test case development
• Application logging and debugging concepts
• Exposure to modern development tools and practices such as:
• Jenkins or CI/CD concepts
• Cloud platforms or cloud development fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn enterprise systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Guidewire platforms or enterprise insurance systems
• Familiarity with Gosu or other object-oriented languages
