PRIMARY FUNCTION

Dismantles, rebuilds, and installs panel boards, control cases, cable reels and associated electrical equipment.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Small hand tools, volt-ohm meter, hoist, fork truck, hydraulic crimpers, micrometer, calipe

SAMPLE WORK PROCEDURE

1. Dismantles electrical control cases, panel, cable reels, and related electrical equipment.
\n
2. Removes all wire, cleans electrical connections, paints panels and control cases.
\n
3. Checks electrical components with volt-ohm meter; replacing or repairing parts as required.
\n
4. Using various diagrams, reassembles and installs control cases, panel boards, cable reels and other electrical components.
\n
5. Tests function of reassembled equipment, consulting with supervisor when required.
\n
6. Obeys all safety rules and performs housekeeping assignments.
