Soliant is seeking two experienced and certified American Sign Language Interpreters to support two brothers one in preschool and the other in elementary school starting in the 20252026 school year. These are full-time, school-based positions focused on supporting access, communication, and educational development in inclusive classroom settings.
Student 1: Preschool
Student 2: Elementary
Both students are deaf and use ASL as their primary mode of communication
RID Certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)
Minimum 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
Experience working with preschool and/or elementary-age students preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams
Facilitate the generalization of vocabulary and language development
Support effective communication between deaf students, staff, and peers in general education settings
Collaborate with general education staff following in-service guidance provided by the Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Provide input during IEP development and progress monitoring
Act as a tutor when outlined in the students Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Prepare progress reports and documentation according to school and district procedures
Promote inclusive learning environments that respect and support language access and cultural identity
This position requires a commitment of 40hours per week
Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar
