Job Title: Production and Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production and Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of production schedules and financial transactions. This role will require you to manage vendor invoices, optimize production processes, and support financial reporting, contributing to the company's success through efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify approvals, and ensure timely payments via check, ACH, or virtual card.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery targets and optimize resource use.
• Monitor production rates, product standards, and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain vendor records, resolve payment discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Manage prepayments, credit memos, and 1099 reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate job costing and inventory valuation.
• Prepare and analyze production variance reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, and operations to resolve production issues and minimize delays.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes related to production.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and support audit procedures.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in inventory and invoice management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and communication skills.
• Experience in accounts payable and production reconciliations.
• Strong skills in invoice processing and reconciliation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and a willingness to learn.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position with working hours from 8:30AM to 5 PM. The role involves a balanced focus, with approximately 50% of responsibilities dedicated to production scheduling and 50% to accounts payable management. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, fostering a positive work environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Waukesha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
