ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Head of Sales - Americas, the role is primarily focused on maintaining the current business (farming), and developing new business (hunting), with assigned partners and carriers in the America’s region, to meet defined targets, for iBasis services, ILD voice related, SMS, Cloud Communications Services , Mobile Services and associated VAS products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Account Manager for the Americas Sales Team, the below tasks and responsibilities are required for the position:

  • Manage relationships with existing partners on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage current partners Revenue/Margin through actively analyzing new opportunities and negotiating better conditions, either through trading hubbing minutes or by creating bilateral deals.
  • Manage pricing to optimize revenue for all products.
  • Develop new strategic customer/ partners relationships.
  • Close new contracts for SMS Outbound, SMS Hubbing, Global Mobile Signaling and GRX/IPX, Cloud Communications services
  • Prepare commercial agreements and proposals to promote iBasis’ products and services, Voice related services, SMS Outbound, SMS Hubbing, Global Mobile Signaling, GRX/IPX, and Cloud Communications.
  • Closely work with direct colleagues and all other involved departments within iBasis, supporting various processes
  • Engage necessary resources at the appropriate time to grow business quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.

  • You are experienced in account management with knowledge of the telecommunications market that can contribute to our growth strategy.
  • You are independent and self-confident professional with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • You are able to self-motivate, inspire and be inspired by others in an open, collaborative and results driven team.
  • You are a motivated and business driven person with experience in selling messaging.
  • Result driven: You will have ambitious targets to close and develop markets to enhance the position of iBASIS.
  • You are able to develop business with new prospects.
  • You have the ability to translate the specific requirements of customers into a clear customer approach.

YOU’LL BRING:

  • University degree
  • 5 years’ experience in telecommunications industry.
  • Strong business development and negotiations skills.
  • Strong business analytical skills.
  • Self-drive and a motivation to succeed are as important as teamwork and transparency.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Regular travel required, including customer visits and event conferences.
  • Must be fluent in English & Spanish.
